Acne - How to have peace with acne

How can I have peace with acne when I'm totally freaking out?

If everyone could see what they were doing in the midst of a problem, it would simulate a Jerry springer show. Someone freaking out on someone else leaving us to wonder " Why doesn't the person just walk away??" We can see perfectly clear from our television 3000 miles away that the problem will be gone once someone says "I'm done." Except the person you are fighting with is you; over an idea of who you is . This battle for identity is with your ego. The ego offers protection through fear and anything associated with this concept of logic because it believes in death. It wants to protect you so it will go to any measures to try and do so with persuasive fear tactics , such as for example, the fear of failure, fear of loss, fear of attack, etc.
Your ego is the voice of logic in you , and acne is the result of the conflict. You continued to recreate problems because you listened to this  voice who claims to offer protection,  although you have yet to get what you want which is to feel complete and have peace of mind. In the case with acne, You may think  you want clear skin but you really want to be fearless and free of worry; complete and perfect. You also want to be secure and beautiful, but your idea of these is distorted. Who told you what beauty is? A magazine? A movie? A commercial? If everyone had acne you wouldn't know of such ideas that you seek refuge from. You wouldn't resist acne. How could you deny this?  Is it not obvious that how you see yourself and how the world sees you is a choice?  That they are one in the same? Yet your reality is completely far off from the truth.  Only You have not chosen to see yourself the way the world actually sees you but have insisted that the world sees you the way you see yourself in the mirror. A camera cannot even capture the exact version you believe you are. And this is the key to your prison you refuse to leave. Its always  been hanging around your neck, but you refuse to stand back and look at yourself  because your too busy honing in on your face. You've always searched outside for the answers  because your ego filled its duties of persuasion by getting you to do so, yet you are surprised over and over by disappointment. Is this not the definition of insanity?

"Why doubt me? Test me."

Facing the part of you that convinces you you're ugly and incomplete is what's going to scare you the most. Its scary to think you can just let acne  go and be on your way or that it even can heal that way. However, we are not here to learn that we are right about what we think we know. You are not here to learn acne is in control of you, but merely the opposite.

For today take a moment  and declare that you will stop defending yourself for the time being. To attack have attack on acne (and the idea of acne) is an attack on yourself since acne is really a part of you.

By allowing acne to be there, wanting to make peace with it and accepting your present situation,   your break out process eventually will slow down if not end because any emotional attachment to acne will cease.  So if acne is your fire your judgments and criticisms  are the logs that feed it. You ego is the part telling you to throw more logs in in order to make it end. You have been convinced such madness could  make sense. However you have not tried quit playing this game, by quitting playing the game. You have been convinced you must win the battle in order to have peace.
